This past weekend the Tabor Mountain Recreation Trails hosted the final stages of the first ever. The event (which is organized by the Prince George Cycling Club) was well attended and featured good food, music, and lots of prizes.
The day was broken down into three stages that totalled 8.2km in total distance. Following the enduro tradition, riders were required to pedal their bikes up the climb stages, but were only timed on the downhill sections.
After completing the final three stages, riders and volunteers were treated to a barbecue lunch and a mountain of prizes.
The rider entrance fee for the whole event was $50 - a reasonable price given the good vibes and top-quality riding (ACT volunteers were out the night before grooming and polishing the route).
Many thanks to the Prince George Cycling Club and their sponsors for choosing Tabor as a venue. We look forward to hosting the event again next year!
